Built so it can’t act without you

  • You approve each introduction before it goes.
  • It sends from your own mailbox, in your name.
  • ScoutBridge never writes to anyone in its own name.
  • Your network is visible only to you.
  • It never pads a briefing with weak names.
  • When it is unsure, it says so.

Twenty-three rules

The database enforces the first nineteen and a test checks each one. The last four came with briefings and are being built.

Read all twenty-three
  1. Nothing is sent without a recorded approval from a named investor with the authority to give it.
  2. Nothing reaches an investor unless their classification is recorded, evidenced, current and sufficient for the company’s offering exemption.
  3. No firm ever learns anything about another firm’s network, contacts, requests, companies or relationships.
  4. A founder never learns who a suggested person is before an approved introduction to them.
  5. Each agent action is logged permanently, with what went in and what came out.
  6. Each human decision is logged, with who made it, why, and any edits to the draft.
  7. Agents recommend. They never decide.
  8. No fee tied to the outcome of an introduction can be configured.
  9. The system never holds funds or securities.
  10. ScoutBridge is never presented as a broker, placement agent or finder. Nor is any firm that uses it.
  11. Each introduction carries its required disclosures before it can be approved.
  12. What a founder or an investor gave the system is never overwritten.
  13. Each introduction is attributed to a named investor and sent from their own channel.
  14. Nothing ScoutBridge does may cost a company its offering exemption.
  15. People are never profiled from outside sources. A contact is described only from what the investor supplies.
  16. Founder characteristics are never used to score a suggestion.
  17. Where a firm uses founder intake, a founder sees before submitting exactly what the firm will see.
  18. Each decision records the version of the rules that applied to it.
  19. Any company, investor, contact or account can be halted, with who and why recorded.
  20. Each suggested person comes with a reason and a case against, and each cites a fact and where it came from.
  21. A briefing is never padded. Below the confidence bar it suggests no one and records why.
  22. A founder’s request never leaves the firm it was sent to, and never trains anything outside it.
  23. An investor’s network is visible only to them, unless they choose to share it inside their firm.

What it doesn’t do yet

  • Briefings are still being built. The examples on this site are invented.
  • It has not yet sent through a live Gmail or Outlook account.
  • Keys are not yet rotated automatically.
  • There is no formal security programme yet.
