From a founder’s email to an introduction, in four steps

  1. 01

    Read

A founder emails you, their investor, for help. ScoutBridge reads the request and your own network.

  2. 02

    Brief

It names the people who fit, with why and the case against. When it is unsure, it offers fewer names.

  3. 03

    Protect

It counts how often you have asked each person, and holds a good name back when they need a rest.

  4. 04

    Approve

You approve, edit or reject the draft. It sends from your own mailbox, in your name.

Six people from Tom Achebe’s network, read as index cards. Two of them fit Ines Duarte’s request, Grace Mwangi and Owen Price, and each of their cards argues the case for and against. One more, Martin Hale, came close, and is left out because ScoutBridge is not sure he is still at Corran Homes. Owen has had two introductions from Tom this month, so his card is set aside, with Tom’s reason in his own hand. Last comes the drafted introduction of Ines Duarte to Grace Mwangi. Tom ticks it and signs it, approved on 10 September and ready to send from his own mailbox.
